Every state and state-integrated school (kura) in New Zealand is governed by a school board, a Crown entity that plays a vital role in shaping the direction of education in our community. The board’s primary goal is to ensure that every student reaches their highest potential in learning and achievement.
At Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate School, our board is responsible for upholding the school’s vision, values, and strategic direction. While the board provides governance and oversight, it does not manage the day-to-day running of the school—that role belongs to the principal and school leadership team.
