Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate, established in 1981, is located in Māngere, a vibrant and culturally diverse suburb of South Auckland, New Zealand.. Named after Douglas Bader, who was renowned for his exceptional courage, resilience, determination, and leadership. The community is predominantly Pasifika and Māori, with a growing representation of other ethnic groups, reflecting a rich tapestry of cultural heritage and traditions that the school celebrates and integrates into its learning environment.
