Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) provides students with valuable opportunities to extend their learning beyond the traditional classroom setting. By engaging in hands-on activities, exploring real-world environments, and connecting with their community, students develop practical skills, deepen their understanding, and foster a love for lifelong learning. EOTC experiences enrich education by promoting creativity, teamwork, and resilience while encouraging students to apply their knowledge in meaningful and impactful ways.
Please note, as part of the enrolment process, parents provide consent for their child to participate in all low-risk EOTC activities within an 8km radius of the school. These activities include, but are not limited to, sporting events, arts activities, and cultural experiences.
This consent remains valid while your child is enrolled at Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate School.
The school will ensure that a Risk Analysis Management Form (RAMS) is completed two weeks prior to any EOTC activity. All activities will adhere to the school’s established processes and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
