The Kotuku has always been rare in New Zealand and has attained almost mythical status, revered by both Maori and Pakeha for its elegance and looks.
White is colour at its most complete and pure, the color of perfection. The colour meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion.
Students of House Kotuku will learn about what the colour means in regards to holding the Bader values to a high standard. They will also learn about the Tataiako competencies and use these skills to form relationships, communicate with both the community as well as learning a sound practice in the classroom and beyond.
